June 13, 2008 - Oekakiart.com is under the process of being remade and we are disabling draw and upload access until the new site is up. (Upload and draw access still works on our older boards, however.) O-mails and comments still work so feel free to message each other. When the site is remade, ALL BOARDS will be deleted and you will have to go through the application process for remaking a board. If you currently own a board, please tell us in your application when oekaki board creation is up.

You will need to make a NEW OEKAKIART account. This currently works and can be done so on our front page (http://www.oekakiart.com) so please register as soon as possible in order to get the username that you want. If your images are not up to par they will either be MOVED to the board where they should be or they will be DELETED. No questions asked. Please remember that this is an advanced board, so we are expecting thoughtful art that has had a lot of work put into it.

You flipped it over again. I think. I really like the lineart -- especially on the eyes and mouths. Oh, and such a perfect jaw line on the upside-down one...and all the jewelry is nifty.

I think the main place where it seems a little less than awesome is the flatness of the shirt. =/ All in all though, this is a fun picture.

Two colors of finger nail polish = FTW!!

I agree, the other person's shirt has a lot more shading, so in contrast the blue shirt looks flat. :[
But other than that, I LOVE it. The black lineart looks great, the colors all fit together nicely, and skin shading is perfect imo. :]

I think how the colors contrast so much is actually kind of neat. On the brighter-colored side though, maybe the line-art could have been a paler color. Otherwise it's sort of like the shadows are the same DARKNESS on both sides, even though one side has more light than the other. Or, since the lineart is black on both sides, the brighter-colored side stands out more since it contrasts so much with the black lineart, making the darker-colored side kind of fade behind. Having a paler lineart on the light side might help bring it back down a bit. Nice lineart.

The shirt does seem really flat, I'm not very good at doing clothes so I'll look at some refs next time; (I say next time because the layers merged together when I saved it)
But I lightened the lines just a little on the left hand side like pseudodoxia suggested because it made a lot of sense...but I dunno if I did it right exactly. @n@ if I made it too light it looked like he was glowing and it was kind of weird so maybe I just picked a bad color. but thanks much for the suggestion; I didn't even consider that the colors would be different, but it's really smart (x

Well first off yes the shirt on the lighter one does looks flat
though the reason the layers mergeds is because you didn't put it on animation, which saves the layers

I love how realisitc you can draw, and the hardword you put into the detail really shows.
The legs look kinda iffy but I'm not really a frog person so they might normally look like this. ^^

I guess I should post the ref, though I did a little improvising with the positioning of the legs because I didn't like the look of the thing the frog in the reference picture was sitting on.

I really like this one.
The only thing I see thats a little off would be his lips. The top lip is supposed to be the one which sort of sticks out more, and here you've got the bottom one doing that, so it would appear as if he's got an underbite. But yeah, other than that, this is preety good, I love the detail in his hair.
