June 13, 2008 - Oekakiart.com is under the process of being remade and we are disabling draw and upload access until the new site is up. (Upload and draw access still works on our older boards, however.) O-mails and comments still work so feel free to message each other. When the site is remade, ALL BOARDS will be deleted and you will have to go through the application process for remaking a board. If you currently own a board, please tell us in your application when oekaki board creation is up.
You will need to make a NEW OEKAKIART account. This currently works and can be done so on our front page (http://www.oekakiart.com) so please register as soon as possible in order to get the username that you want. We have user profiles, mailbox, and a shout board working and we are currently working on the board creation system.

I've gotten into Subeta XD Btw this took quite a while but I had to refresh so it would let me send (it seems to only send when I refresh and restore image for some reason so that is why a lot of my timers are unknown)
I'm thinking of maybe doing commissions on there but I am unsure of whether people would want them and what to price :S

I'll draw anything, though I prefer humans I don't mind animals or anthros etc and i'll give anything a go tbh. Bleh lol, another WIP. Can anyone give me any tips on Linearting? I mean I've been practicing, but it's still not very good. My tapering is rather bad too :(!

When practicing with oekaki, the best way to get clean lines is with the beizer tool. It may seem difficult to use at first, but you soon get the hang of it.
I like this, though. The pose is almost intimidating. C:
Well I am like not one for supar clean lineart when it comes to oekaki and I hate the bezier tool with a passion because only some people can make it look good and but a lot of people who use it to get neat lineart often get a certain stiffness to their work which I really don't like because it takes away the life from a picture as such in my opinion. If you haven't already I really suggest getting jtablet for oekaki, it's a free download you get off the web. Basically it's pen pressure and it really adds to lineart in my opinion, because when you get used to it you can get your lineart looking nice but not uniformly one linewidth. However if you like having it very clean and stuff (kinda like Mydnite and others on here do, which is fine because their art is nice) and uniformly one width, I wouldn't suggest it. Before I used pen pressure when actually trying to be neat and stuff I just took my time fairly zoomed in and setting it to curve instead of freehand or bezier, it's baically freehand but less wibbly wobbly. Though you may do that already XD

ahaha sorry, can't help you there. if you havne't noticed, i dont make nice lines. half the time i dont' make lines at all. xD
these are very nice though! um one tip is that use different line weights, and try to smooth it out. with the line weights, use thicker lines in deeper shadow, and thicker lines in the foreground
The perspective is pretty nice don't laugh at it >8|
Also I used to know a pchat but I don't know the url anymore i'll try and find it! Though last time I went there were these weird naruto fantards who called themselves Sasuke and Itachi and they were going on about Uchihacest or something o_o
